Douglas Wingate has has been in private practice since 2011 in Portland, Oregon and began working in the neurology department of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) hospital in 2018. He received his doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches University and post-doctoral studies in clinical neuroscience from The Carrick Institute. He specializes in the use of acupuncture, herbology, massage, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and medicinal mushrooms in the treatment of neurological conditions in children and adults including acute and chronic pain, stroke rehabilitation, PTSD, concussions, and traumatic brain injuries. He has lectured extensively to practitioners and patients around the world and is a published author of multiple books on the subject. Douglas Wingate finds much reward in offering his patients relief in treating these types of conditions in his work.
In his spare time, Douglas enjoys spending quality time with his child who is an avid roller skater. When he gets time to himself, he is also an artist and enjoys reading, writing, brewing honey wine, live music, and the outdoors.
